Designed to deliver clear audio while remaining comfortable for long sessions, this gaming headset features an adjustable boom mic, multi-channel surround sound, and memory foam earpads. Located on the left earcup, the flip-up boom mic features auto on/off and mute functions, and sits next to user controls that provide hands-on adjustment. This headphone also features a Discord-certified game-chat balance dial.

Internally, the JBL Quantum 400 uses 50mm neodymium dynamic drivers, which provide a 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency range. In addition to a 3.94′ headphone cable, this headset also comes with a USB Type-C to Type-A cable measuring 9.84′. Using the audio cable, this headset is compatible with Windows, Mac, Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, mobile, and VR platforms. The USB cable, in addition to facilitating surround sound, also allows users to adjust settings using the JBL QuantumENGINE software, as well as adjust the LED lighting on the earcups. JBL QuantumENGINE software is compatible with Windows 7 or later. In addition to the audio and USB cables, Quantum 400 also comes with a foam windscreen for the mic.
